Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026
This policy explains how Day Motors collects, uses and shares information when you visit our website, ask about a vehicle, request delivery information or start a purchase request.
1. Who we are
Day Motors operates drivedaymotors.com. Our business address is 329 Lewiston St, Mechanic Falls, ME 04256. For privacy questions or requests, email [email protected]. For vehicle sales questions, email [email protected].
This policy covers our website and related inquiries. A financing, leasing or other transaction may involve additional privacy notices and authorizations. This website policy does not replace any separate financial privacy notice required for those services.
2. Information we collect
The information we receive depends on how you interact with us:
- Vehicle inquiries: your full name, phone number, email address, the vehicle you are interested in and any optional message you provide.
- Purchase requests: your full name, phone number, email address, full address, a photo of the front of your identification document and any optional message. The request also identifies the vehicle and its listing page.
- Delivery quote requests: your contact details, delivery ZIP code, vehicle details and any information you include about the requested delivery.
- Correspondence: information you send when you contact us, together with our responses and relevant transaction records.
- Website and device information: information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, approximate location inferred from an IP address, interaction events and cookie or similar identifiers. Some of this information is collected by service providers and advertising technologies described below.
Required fields are identified on each form. Optional message fields do not need to be completed. Please provide only information relevant to your request.
3. How we use information
- Respond to inquiries and communicate about vehicles, pricing, availability and next steps.
- Review purchase requests, help verify identity and reduce fraud.
- Prepare delivery estimates and coordinate transportation you request.
- Maintain correspondence and transaction records and meet applicable legal obligations.
- Operate, troubleshoot and protect the website, prevent spam and understand how visitors use it.
- Measure advertising performance and support relevant advertising, as described in the cookies and advertising section.
Sending a Buy Now request does not itself take payment, complete a vehicle purchase, submit a credit application or authorize a credit check.
4. Identification documents
The Buy Now form asks for one photo of the front of your ID only. An ID can contain sensitive information, including your photograph, date of birth, address and document number. We receive the information visible in the image you choose to upload and use it in connection with reviewing your purchase request and identity verification.
Purchase submissions and their attachments are processed through our website and email systems and the providers supporting those systems. An emailed attachment may remain in business email records or backups; uploading an ID does not mean it is automatically deleted after submission.
Do not upload the back of your ID or unrelated documents. Do not include Social Security numbers, bank account details, payment card information or passwords in message fields. You can use the standard inquiry form to contact us without uploading an ID.
5. When information is shared
Information may be disclosed to the following recipients for the purposes described in this policy:
- Service providers supporting website hosting, form processing, email delivery, information storage, security and technical support.
- Transportation providers when needed to obtain a quote or arrange delivery you request, including relevant contact, destination and vehicle details.
- Transaction participants when necessary to carry out a service you request. Any financing application or disclosure to a lender is subject to the applicable notices and authorizations for that process.
- Analytics and advertising providers receiving website or device information through the technologies described below.
- Professional advisers, authorities or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, address fraud or protect legal rights.
- A successor business in connection with a merger, acquisition or transfer of business assets, subject to applicable law.
We may also disclose information when you direct or authorize us to do so. The way advertising information is exchanged may be treated as a “sale,” “sharing” or targeted advertising under some privacy laws, even when no money changes hands. Applicable choices are described below.
6. Cookies, analytics and advertising
Our website uses cookies, tags, pixels and similar technologies. These can support website operation and security, measure visits and interactions, and help measure or personalize advertising.
Google tags and Meta/Facebook tracking technologies are present on this website. Depending on the tool and its settings, those providers may receive page URLs, IP addresses, device or browser details, identifiers and interaction information. They may associate this information with other information they hold, including an account you use with their services.
Learn more about Google’s use of information from partner websites and Meta’s Privacy Policy.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser and review advertising preferences in your Google and Meta accounts. Google provides ad settings and a Google Analytics browser opt-out tool. These controls have different scopes: changing advertising preferences does not necessarily stop all collection, and blocking cookies may affect website features.
The website does not currently change its behavior in response to a browser’s traditional “Do Not Track” signal. This is separate from any rights or legally recognized opt-out mechanisms that may apply under privacy law.
7. Your choices and privacy requests
You may ask us to correct contact information, stop optional marketing communications or explain how information about you is used. Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have rights to access, obtain a copy of, correct or delete personal information, or opt out of certain sales, sharing or targeted advertising.
Send requests to [email protected] with the subject “Privacy Request.” Describe your request and provide a way for us to respond. We may need to verify your identity and authority before acting. Please do not attach an ID or include sensitive identification numbers unless we ask for information needed to verify a particular request.
Requests are subject to applicable law and exceptions, including records we need to retain for transactions, fraud prevention or legal obligations. If we cannot fulfill a request, we will explain the reason and any applicable appeal process. To stop promotional emails, use an unsubscribe option where provided or contact us. Necessary responses to an active inquiry or transaction may still be sent.
8. Retention and security
Information may be kept in website records, business email, transaction systems and backups. The appropriate retention period depends on the purpose of collection, the sensitivity of the information, ongoing requests or transactions, and applicable recordkeeping, dispute and legal requirements. Contact us if you want to ask about or request deletion of information you submitted.
The website uses HTTPS for its connection to your browser. No website, email system or storage method can guarantee complete security. Please contact us promptly if you believe information submitted to Day Motors has been misused or disclosed improperly.
9. Children’s information
This website and its vehicle inquiry and purchase services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the website, contact us so we can investigate and address the information appropriately.
10. Other websites and locations
Links to third-party websites, social networks or service providers lead to services with their own privacy practices. Review their notices before providing information. Day Motors is a United States business; information may be processed wherever our service providers operate, and privacy protections can differ between jurisdictions.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our website, services or practices change. The revised policy will be posted on this page with an updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
